These classes are for dancers ages walking to 3 years and their grown ups.  Dads, Grandparents and caregivers are welcome!

Young Ballerinas

Beginning Classical Dance

The beginning levels are an introduction to ballet and tap basics using methods designed for young imaginative minds and bodies. Students are given the opportunity to move, stretch, and improve self-confidence while being introduced to basic ballet concepts, body alignment, posture, locomotor skills, as well as develop self-expression through creative movement. These levels introduce the basic concepts of both ballet and tap, including beginning steps, terminology, musicality, focus, flexibility and expression. These classes promote group interaction, creativity, body awareness and dance etiquette. Open to boys and girls ages 3- 6, half of every class period is spent on ballet and half tap. Ballet shoes, tap shoes, studio level leotard and pink tights are required after placement. Most students spend an entire academic year at one level before progressing to the next.

Intermediate Classical Dance

The intermediate levels build on the skills introduced in Beginning Ballet & Tap. These courses emphasizes proper placement, developing strength, building endurance, and increasing flexibility through center and across the floor exercises.These levels build on concepts of both ballet and tap, with an intermediate level of steps, terminology, musicality, focus, flexibility and expression. Open to boys and girls ages 6-9, half of every class period is spent on ballet and half tap. Ballet shoes, tap shoes, studio level leotard and pink tights are required after placement. Advancement from level to level is based on annual evaluations of the individual student’s technical ability, physical aptitude, strength, classroom effort and attendance.

Advanced Ballet

Ages 9+ with several years of dance experience -Advanced Level III and above are encouraged to take two ballet classes per week.  Black leotard and pink tights is required for all advanced ballet classes.

Tap Dance Class

Advanced Tap

Advanced Youth Tap classes are for ages 9+ with or without Tap experience.

Adult Tap is for ages 16+ with or without Tap Experience.

Ages 9+ with a good foundation in ballet.

At NCADA, we spend an entire academic year learning technique and perform one main recital annually in June.
